Took only 1 game to get used to my new paddle. I had been using a monarch and switched to the Selkirk Amped Paddle. Best paddle I have used by far! Like I said noticed the difference immediately from my previous paddle. Longer handle allowed me to get to shots I wouldnt normally be able to reach.
Just opened it this morning and played about 7-8 games with it this afternoon. I have played racquetball for years and after 1 game of pickleball and I knew the paddle was very important. I wanted to buy what I felt was the best pickleball paddle on the market for the money. I was not dissappointed. This sport is usually free to play.. spend the money on the paddle!
Having tried several paddles over the years of playing pickleball I have tried several paddles from entry level to pro. This is a winner in relation to power, touch feel, predictable reaction etc.
I play pickleball almost everyday. If you are going to play I recommend getting a quality paddle. It makes it so much more fun when you can control where the ball goes. You dont need the nicest, lastest or greatest but qualitty makes a HUGE difference.
This really is a great paddle. I went with the lighter weight version and my tennis elbow or (pickleball elbow) pain has gone completely away. Great upgrade.
Im a 3.5 player and many versions have great power but this paddle has control as well.
Absolutely love the paddle. Like many others.. wish it came with a cover. I just use a cheaper paddle cover. Guess whats most important is how well it plays and that is amazing with this paddle.
